Ryan Oksenberg is a writer, director, editor Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2008. Oksenberg got started in documentaries with the online "cult favorite" documentary (1M+ views), "Cease To Exist" (2007), which explores the music motive to the Manson murders. His documentary series, "Life Line Booth" aired on Participant Media's TV network, Pivot. Ryan's thriller short, "Damage Control" premiered at the 2018 Fantasia Film Festival and was awarded Best Thriller, Best Director and Best Actor by Top Shorts Film Festival in 2019. It is now on Alter. His horror/dark-comedy short film, "Together" premiered at the 2019 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in the 'Bucheon Choice' international award competition. It made its North America premiere at the 2019 Fantasia Film Festival. He was awarded $50K by StudioFest to direct his first feature and "Best Screenplay" at the 2020 Galician Freaky Film Festival. It is now streaming on Alter. In 2020, Ryan completed his dark-comedy short, "Teardrop" which premiered at the 2020 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and the Chattanooga Film Festival. It is currently streaming on Omeleto and Film Shortage. His 2020-2021 quarantine trilogy, "New Not Normal" was awarded "Best Shut-In Short" at the 2020 Nightmares Film Festival. It's sequel, "Everything Go Round" was awarded "Freakiest Director" at the 2021 Galician Freaky Film Festival. The series is now on YouTube. He is in prep on his feature film, "Foibles."
