Italian-American composer, songwriter and conductor Fabrizio Mancinelli grew up within the medieval walls of L'Aquila, Italy, a lively town rich with culture and history. Surrounded by narrow streets lined with Baroque and Renaissance churches, Mancinelli was attracted from a young age to the fine arts, the opera and eventually, film scoring. Following the passionate advice of two-time Pulitzer Prize winning composer Gian Carlo Menotti (whom Mancinelli later assisted in the staging of Menotti's operas at the Spoleto Festival in Italy), Mancinelli enrolled in the Music Composition Program at the Conservatory Alfredo Casella, L'Aquila, Italy, where he graduated in 2006 with honors in both composition (Masters Degree) and conducting. Soon after, he studied under the guidance of BAFTA and Academy Award winning composer Luis Bacalov (Il Postino). Pursuant to receiving a Fulbright Grant, Mancinelli specialized in Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television at the University of Southern California, graduating in 2009. Mancinelli has composed music for multiple venues and media (including concerts, theater, film, television and the web) and has closely collaborated with many various directors and prestigious institutions in the United States and across the World. A short list of his clients includes The Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Imagineering, Feeln (Hallmark), Lionsgate, Rai, Mediaset (Taodue), Studio Bozzetto, Felix Film, NBC, Dick Clark Production Company, The Golden Globes, Warner Bros. Animation, Good Deed Entertainment/HBO, Media RED, The Rockefeller Foundation, Leone Film Group, Lotus and T&B Media Global. A Sundance Film Music Fellow (2015) and BMI Conducting Fellow (2016), Mancinelli is also a voting Member of the Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences (Emmys), the Recording Academy (Grammys) and Asifa. He is the founder of Fab Music, Inc., a music and sound production company based in Glendale, California. Mancinelli recently wrote the music and lyrics for all ten original songs, as well as the underscore, for the original musical feature film The Land of Dreams (Leone Film Group), presented as a special event at the Rome Film Festival/Alice Nella Citta 2022. Mancinelli also wrote the score for the upcoming thriller feature The Boat (Lotus) and independent comedy Jailbird (Pilgrim film), which opened at the Tallinn Black Night Film Festival and Turin Film Festival in November 2022. As a songwriter, he composed music for The Mouse Song, featured in the Netflix animated series Green, Eggs and Ham (performed by Grammy and Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs). His original score for the musical Beauty (winner of the Alice Nella Citta's section at the 2018 Rome Film Festival) was awarded Best Original Score at the 2018 Genova Film Festival. Upcoming releases include (1) animated film Mushka by Andreas Deja (Aladdin, The Lion King), working alongside songwriter Richard M. Sherman (Academy Award - Mary Poppins), (2) animated feature Out of the Nest (Shellhut Ent.), (3) Italian fantasy feature Il Viaggio Leggendario for YouTube sensation DinsiemE (Leone Film Group) and (4) feature documentary Food 2050 (Rockefeller Foundation - Media RED), directed by Matthew Thompson. Also, Mancinelli composed the theme for the daily television show Oggi E' Un Altro Giorno (RAIUNO) on Italian State Television, a lively dance track that quickly became popular amongst viewers. A conductor as well, Mancinelli is honored to have led the orchestral recordings of Kris Bowers' scores for the Academy Award winning Green Book (Best Picture), The United States vs. Billie Holiday, Space Jam 2 and King Richard.
