Krys Marshall has wasted no time establishing herself as a promising young actress, gaining respect and accolades for her hard work on the stage and screen. She can currently be seen in the Apple TV+ series "For All Mankind" playing Danielle Poole, a NASA engineer and the agency's first African-American astronaut. "For All Mankind" explores an alternate history, where Russia's Moon landing precedes the United States, setting off a decades long struggle for domination of the moon and beyond. Called "One of the best shows of 2021" by Rolling Stone, Krys has received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Commander Poole, and along with her cast, was nominated for a Critic's Choice Award for Best Drama. In addition to her work on the series, Krys is also the creator, executive producer and host of her show's companion project "For All Mankind: The Official Podcast". Prior to her work on "For All Mankind", Krys recurred on the CW's Supergirl, portraying Purity, a SuperVillain Kryptonian Worldkiller. Additional credits include guest-starring in Season 4 of the CBS hit Drama "Bull", Showtime's "Shameless", "Criminal Minds", "NCIS","How I Met Your Mother" and NBC's Emmy-winning series "This Is Us", playing opposite Sterling K. Brown. Krys also has a love for sketch comedy, and has appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live", playing a variety of characters. Originally from Atlanta, Krys knew at an early age that she wanted to be a performer, and studied classically at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in theatre. When not working, Krys loves to travel, and has visited over 50 countries, across 5 continents and is fluent in French. She is an advocate for underprivileged children, and is a mentor with the Young Storytellers Foundation, whose mission is to "inspire young people to discover the power of their own voice."
