Martin Ericsson aka Elricsson was born and raised in Umeå in the north of Sweden. He wrote his first Live Action Roleplaying game in 1989 and has since written and produced more than 20 pieces of interactive theatre. He studied theatre science at Stockholm University before being drafted as a games-designer, researcher and story-writer for first the Interactive Institute (2003) and later Swedish Institute for Computing Science (2006). During this time his focus was on "pervasive" games, using mobile technology to create "Prosopopeia" a series of techno-occult experiences played on the edge of reality. In 2007 he joined The Company P and together with Adriana Skarped created "The Truth About Marika" a TV-format mixing online puzzle-solving, character interaction and real-world events for public broadcaster SVT. The Company P and Elricsson received an International Emmy (Best Interactive TV-service) for the game-dimension of "The Truth About Marika". Since 2007 Elricsson is a recognized figure on the European cross / trans-media scene and has worked as a game-creator, interactive scriptwriter, actor and event-producer in numerous commercial media and games projects. He prefers calling himself a Game Master or GM for short. In 2011 he left The Company P to found Bardo together with Adriana Skarped.
