Director/Producer Ever since he was young, Andrés Otero has had a raw passion for telling stories through images. Perhaps it was the summer double features at the only theater in his father's small town in Colombia, that led him to excel in the arts, earning upon graduation a Medal of Honor for his dedication to his craft. Andrés immigrated to the United States at 18, where he studied Film & Media at Hunter College. After graduation, he freelanced as a news producer/editor for the New York Times, NY Daily News and NY Post, before becoming the first multilingual content producer for Multivu/PR Newswire. Acting as producer, project manager, and creative director his accomplishments took him around the globe, from Denmark to South America, and from Alaska to the tip of Africa. Some of Andres's filmmaking credits include, associate editor for the feature documentary BLAST!, and producer for the upcoming documentary feature, "How to Power a City". He was also a National Board of Review Awardee for his documentary short "Leaving Ground Zero". Andrés recently partnered with three of his closest collaborators to start their own production company: Somos Creative. When not globetrotting for work, he's flying his drone or contributing 360-degree content to Google maps. At home, Andrés obsessively cares for his plants and stays busy with his children, fiancee, and their dog.
