Ingrid Palomo

A comedian, writer, actor, associate producer, and aspiring director born in Southern California, Ingrid Palomo is an American of Mayan, Spanish, and some Italian heritage. She continues to train dramatically in Meisner and comically at the Groundlings among other disciplines. She also performs stand-up at open mics and has performed at Flappers and the Comedy Store. Ingrid is also a sketch and speech writer and had some poetry published when she was in college. Ms. Palomo won a second place award at the Mount San Antonio College Writer's Festival in 1995 in both non-fiction newspaper article and essay writing. She is fluent in Spanish and understands and speaks some German. Music is one of her hobbies and she likes to sing and play some piano. She has a legal support background and did some work at an independent television distribution firm in Hollywood, California. She studied at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English with highest honors and one class short of a minor in Biology. Ingrid went into entertainment for two deeply personal reasons among others: To provide audiences with a distraction from their problems and to give them stories to make sense of their human experience.
