Lawrence Kern was born and raised in Texas amongst a small arsenal of guns. After earning his BFA in Theatre (and also a minor in English with an emphasis in Shakespeare) from Southwestern University, he traveled to the North to attend The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where he obtained his MFA. Lawrence started acting on the stage, most notably performing at Shakespeare's Globe in London, England, through the prestigious Shakespeare at Winedale program, but has since turned his attentions to the camera. To this day his crowning achievement was a glittering turn as "Swat Leader" in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight, which was so good it wound up on the cutting room floor (didn't want to steal Christian Bale's thunder). He has also spent the past 7 years as a motion capture artist, in such video games as the Mortal Kombat franchise, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Vin Diesel's Wheelman and F.E.A.R 3. Lawrence works with his girlfriend, Kathryn Yohe, running A.B.L.E. Ensemble, a program focusing on acting and growing opportunities for teenagers with special needs. Lawrence lives with his girlfriend, two Persian cats and the memory of Vertigo and Dixie - an amazing cat and a wonderful dog who he will not soon forget.
