Ashley "CheiChei" Grishby was born in Baton Rouge, La. When she was 2 years old, she and her family moved to Newport News, Virginia. While living in Virginia, Cheichei discovered an interest in performing arts and dance. Her mother decided to put her in ballet and acting classes at age 5, but after a while CheiChei decided that she only wanted to take acting, so she dropped ballet. While in school, she entered in every play and performing arts project, developing her skills and loving her talents. It all came to an end when her mother and step-father divorced and they moved back to Baton Rouge. She really didn't fit in with the children, so she decided to give up on her talents. Once she made 15, she knew she wanted to get back into acting. She practiced on her own because she didn't want to get involved at school, and after a while she was able to rebuild what she had been wanting to do since she was 5. Her mother didn't really want her to get involved with professional acting at her age, so CheiChei had to wait until she made 18 to take her career to the next level. She moved from Baton Rouge to Lafayette to attend college and being her acting career. Her freshman year she auditioned for the role of Katie in Quantum Apocolypse, and found out she got the part on her birthday. A few months after this movie, the same movie company called her and asked if she would like to be apart of their current project, Wolvesbayne. She happily accepted. In 2009, her boyfriend submitted to be in the movie Video Girl. He was selected to be in the movie, and she couldn't be more excited, so she went with him to the set. Hours after they arrived, she decided that she was going to leave the set and bumped into one of the directors in the parking lot. He asked her if she was apart of the movie, and she replied no, and that's when he asked her if she would like to be. In shock, she immediately said yes, and got to be in the movie Video Girl. She was able to meet Meagan Good, Ty Hodges, and Detari.
