Fabian Claes Jansen , also known as Fabian Jansen, is an actor, director and impact producer. He was born and raised in The Netherlands, 1983. In 2005 he graduated from his 4-year BA Acting Course, at the Toneelacademie Maastricht (The Institute of Performing Arts of Maastricht, The Netherlands). In 2019 he also became an Impact Producer for film and theater. Fabian successfully played in more than 40 plays on stages on Broadway - NYC/USA, UK, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Belgium and The Netherlands. He also wrote and directed acclaimed plays for young audiences as well as for adults. Besides theater, Fabian played several leading parts in feature films, TV movies and TV series and worked with award-winning directors such as Saskia Diesing, Mijke de Jong and Mark de Cloe. In 2018 he founded social film company Fabuch Social Cinema, formerly known as Cinema Fabuch, the first inclusive film company in The Netherlands, which creates high-end shorts, feature films, video performances and multi-media projects about urgent political and social issues and taboos. 'Fabuch's mission is to create social impact, collective awareness about urgent issues and to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged and vulnerable people from all walks of life, by including them in the process of making cinema together with our award winning European cast and professional crew. Fabuch Social Cinema brings their talented professional cast and crew together with these forgottten people - The Future Talents - to give them a new purpose in mind and make them feel wanted, needed and beloved again.' With Fabuch Social Cinema he produced, wrote and directed the short films Ella (2015) and Lady (2018). He also produced and directed the two live marathon video performances 'Els' (168 hrs) and 'Els - The Second Wave' (100 hrs) in which he played the lonely and quarantained 59-year old woman called Els, every minute of it. In 2021 he produced, wrote and directed the critically acclaimed film Ada based upon true stories from social sex workers/sexual assistants and their clients, about the sexuality of disadvantaged people and their call for help (Sexcare) . Together with 'Ada' he also produced a nationwide impact campaign with the online talk show Fabuch's Social Sex Show, to talk with experts on this matter, from clients and social sex workers to politicians and Healthcare organizations, which has already let to questions in the Dutch house of parliament and a pledge from the minister of Healthcare. Next up he will direct the short "Rain will fall", about Alzheimers patients and their relatives, and his first feature film "Maalkop", about depression and suïcide amongst farmers. He is a member of The Dutch Directors Guild and also a member of Atelier Néerlandais in Paris, France.
