Alicia Mitchell was born in the Philippines to a Virginian father with English and Irish roots and a Chinese mother born and raised in Taiwan. Her parents met during her father's deployment to Taiwan serving as a US Air Force structural engineer. Alicia's main creative influences stem from her mother, a clothing designer and seamstress, and her father, a builder and carpenter. Alicia has one older sister. After spending her early years on the move as a military family, they finally settled in Oklahoma where Alicia was raised. At a young age, she was involved in many different aspects of the arts: from being casted in the city musical Hansel and Gretel, to performing in Show Choir for many years, to playing first chair clarinet, to participating in art contests. Performing has always been a critical part of her life. Alicia also loved performing in the world of competitive athletics. She excelled in soccer, softball/fast-pitch, and basketball. Her determination and intensity enabled her to play these sports very competitively. She made the men's soccer team as a freshman. The following year a women's team was developed where she became MVP for the remaining three years. Alicia also excelled in fast-pitch where she was a four year starter on the varsity team ultimately becoming an All-State 2nd basemen as a senior. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma with an academic scholarship receiving her Bachelors in Marketing with honors as Summa Cum Laude. During college she shifted her focus from athletics to acting. As in sports, Alicia achieved almost instant success, working professionally as an actress on over twenty projects in Oklahoma. After college Alicia moved to Dallas where she balanced acting and working in marketing. While there she very quickly booked a national commercial for Dove Shampoo and Conditioner. This jumpstarted her career and she left for Los Angeles to pursue her career. Since arriving on the scene in Los Angeles Alicia has landed multiple lead roles in films. Through her work as a volunteer soccer coach, Alicia has kept in touch with her athletic roots. She has entered new areas of competitive athletics becoming an accomplished mixed martial artist, with extensive training in Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and even edged weapons.
