Paulinho Serra is the stage name of Paulo José Serra do Carmo, an actor, comedian, and radio announcer born in Rio de Janeiro. Paulinho began his comedy career with the group Deznecessários, where he worked with comedians such as Rodrigo Capella, Miá Mello, and Tatá Werneck. Other stage works include Quinta Categoria, Paulinho Serra em Pedaços, Dezimprovisa, and Boraimprovisar. In 2007, after granting an interview to the Pânico show on Rádio Jovem Pan, he was invited to join them. The following year, he acted in the telenovela Duas Caras, playing the Argentinian sociology professor Ignácio Guevara. In 2010, Paulinho Serra signed with MTV Brasil to host the show Quinta Categoria. Later, he was invited to participate in the show Comédia MTV, which replaced Quinta Categoria. In addition, he was also in shows such as Trolalá MTV, Vai que Cola, Pânico na TV, Xilindró, and Família Paraíso.
