Born and Raised in Boulder, Colorado, Macleish Day has always had a passion for the arts. He started dancing at the very early age of four with his family owned dance company called "Boulder Performing Arts Company". He began acting in many of the companies short plays and dances. He later joined the small theatre troupe called "Peanut Butter Players" doing musicals. He then realized from that day on that he wanted to be a performer. By high school, Macleish began to study intensively in Musical Theatre and later attended Interlochen Center for the Arts and studied alongside such alums as Adam Pelty, Anthony Rapp, and David Montee. He was accepted into the Interlochen Arts Academy after going on Opening night as the lead actor for the musical "Sweet Charity" performing for 1,000 people. This later earned him the fine arts award for his performance. He later graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy and set out to make a career in the arts. Macleish went to the University of Northern Colorado to pursue his B.A. in Musical Theatre. He would meet up with some of the most prominent teachers and actors by the time he finished college, he still considers it an honor to have had the pleasure to meet and work with Terrence Mann, Frank Wildhorn, Deb McWaters, Brandi Burkhardt and Neil Patrick Harris all of which he met at The Broadway Theatre Project. After finishing college he later booked the lead role in How to Succeed in Business as J. Pierrepont Finch, where He would later meet movie producer Darlene Cypser. It wasn't until his audition for The Highwayman that he realized that his career path would change from Musical Theatre to Film. Macleish then moved to LA and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. After his post grad studies in Film and Theatre he would join Actors equity and SAG-AFTRA. Macleish has worked alongside some seasoned actors recently ranging from Dominique Swain and Jamie Renee Smith in Photographic Memory and Duet for Four to Lucas Elliot Eberl and Martin Kove in Perfect Girl and the Poem Adaptation of Alfred Noyes The Highwayman. Macleish Currently Resides in Los Angeles, California still continuing his pursuit in the craft.
