Margret Raven (née Margret Hrafnsdottir) was born January 16th, 1970, in Reykjavik, Iceland. At a young age, still a student in junior college, she started her own daily radio program at Reykjavik's most popular radio station, the Wave, where she was the host and producer. At the age of 18, she became the youngest Program Director of a media outlet in Iceland by running the Main Station a radio station with adult/contemporary themes. She also had a daily radio program she hosted and directed with interviews with a wide range of individuals, from Ministers of Government to popular bands. During this time, she was the host and Executive Producer of the most popular MTV-style music television show in Iceland, Sokkabond & Stíl, which featured interviews with Icelandic bands. At the age of 22 she moved to Los Angeles to study film production. In 1996 she Co-founded Othar Raven Creative Industries and became it's president. The company is involved in several developments /investments in tv and film production through Othar Raven Pictures & TV. Margret serves as the Goodwill Ambassador to Iceland's largest food charity organization and is also honored to serve on the Board of Advisors of EQCA the largest statewide organization of its kind in the United States. She is married to Jon Othar and has one child. Producer of Hidden Iceland, a hit tv series for Iceland's Channel 2 and the feature film KiLL THE POET, currently in Pre-production and Executive Producer of the critically acclaimed International hit documentary House of Cardin about the life of the legendary 98 year old designer Pierre Cardin which premiered at the 76th Venice film festival where the film received a standing ovation with Mr Cardin in the audience.
