Born in Canberra, Andy Trieu attended the Australian National University where he received a double degree in Accounting and International Relations. A three-time Australian Champion Martial Artist and Australian representative for Kung Fu, Trieu went on to expand his repertoire from competing in tournaments to performing in roles across stage and screen. His early work in fight choreography for local theatres allowed him to move into larger projects such as his first professional stage performance in the theatre show, "Shanghai Lady Killer" (2010). Following this, Trieu landed a number of stunt roles in films that include Tomorrow When the War Began (2010), The Wolverine (2013) and Hacksaw Ridge (2016). His specialty in Kung Fu weaponry, fight choreography and sword combat saw his screen successes continue when he featured as a series regular on the internationally sold game-show Kitchen Whiz (2011) and on Australia's first Kung Fu TV show, Maximum Choppage (2015). Now, Andy Trieu is a renowned voice in Australia's Asian pop entertainment industry as SBS PopAsia's (2018) host of both the TV and radio show. Trieu's most recent work is in a leading role for Channel 10's upcoming TV sitcom, Street Smart, a break-through series with its diverse cast. Andy Trieu is also actively committed as a passionate advocate for the National Stroke Foundation and an ambassador for "All Together Now", a charity organisation that promotes racial equality through education.
