Julianna Pirillo

Julianna Pirillo, born Julianna Grace Pirillo in Osnabrück, Germany, is an actress and singer with dual British and American citizenship, living in Los Angeles, California. She is of English, Romanian, Russian and Jewish decent on her mother' s side and of Italian American ancestry on her father' s. Both of Julianna's parents are artists. Her mother Valerie Ashworth- Pirillo is a classical concert pianist and répétiteur and her father is actor and singer Vincent Pirillo. She has one younger sister Isabel Pirillo who is a theatre designer. As a child Julianna was always described as having a vivid imagination. The family moved a lot following her father's work, teaching Julianna to adapt to different social climates and cultures quickly. This combination contributed to Julianna's curiosity into the human spirit and deepened a need to connect with people on a deeper level. Julianna trained at Arts Educational School Tring Park, The Royal College of Music, The Actors Centre, The Actors Temple and RADA (workshops) in London. Her first professional stage performance was in 'Vivace' at the Vienna Schauspiel Haus, Austria age 10, followed by a guest starring role on RTL's hit soap drama 'Medicopter 117'. Julianna starred as Eva in 'Kindertransport' age 12 and performed in the ensemble of 'Coram Boy' at the National Theatre London, England age 17. Further credits include Ana (lead) in the multi nominated short film 'Before Spring' and Susannah Cibber (female lead) in the feature docu- drama 'Handel's Messiah' for PBS. Additionally Julianna recorded numerous soundtracks and demos for Oscar nominated composer John Cameron and sang the English national anthem at Wembley Stadium twice. Upon coming to America Julianna landed a role in 'The Civil War Remembered' at the Eclectic Company Theatre in North Hollywood, playing three characters: a woman of the confederacy, a northern American girl who disguises herself as a boy and enlists in the war as an 11yr old drummer boy, and the role of Italian Opera singer Madame Adelina Maria Patti. In 2016 she started filming the role of singer song-writer Sammi (lead) in the 8 part indie feature epic 'Out Of Sight Out Of Mind' for which she wrote and performs the song "running out".
