Sofia Georgovassili was born in Patras, Greece. She grew up in Athens where she also finished her Acting studies in 2007. She now works as a director, writer and actress. She is known for her lead parts in Ursa Minor (2015), and Black Field (2009), for which she won Best Actress Award at the European Film Festival in Seville, (2010).
