Adria K. Hernandez

Adria was born in Northern California. Her father, Garry James Woomer, was originally from small town Tyrone, Pennsylvania but relocated the family before Adria was born to work for Eastern Kodak in the Bay Area of California. He was a mechanical designer for the Aerospace Industry and later worked for Lockheed Martin. With the boom of the computer industry, her father became a computer programmer and has his own company, J&L Software, LLC, which sells a program for retirement financial planning. Her mother was an immigrant from Germany and an Engineer and worked at Stanford Research Institute. Adria was surrounded in her childhood by scientists and mathematicians and at an early age she thought she would find a career in a similar field but when she was 9, her good friend, actress Laurel Moglen, encouraged her to audition for a play at the local community theatre and she has gravitated toward the arts ever since. She continued her training at the University of California. After graduating, she found herself working in repertory theaters across the United States. She eventually found herself in New York and married actor and Juilliard graduate, Juan Carlos Hernandez. They had a son in 1998. In 2007, she founded Popcorn Sky Productions Corporation which she runs and operates out of New York.
