Matthew Kooman is a Director/Editor best known for his work on _She Has a Name (2016), a gripping political thriller that explores the complex world of human trafficking. He runs the Canadian production company and post-production house Unveil Studios along with his brothers Andrew and Daniel. Matthew was born and raised in Red Deer, Ab, Canada. He began his career Directing the docudrama _E for Everyone: The Mouse and The Elephant (2007)- which served as a crash course in film making. He set out around the world with 5 film makers to ask a series of nine questions about happiness. The film took them to the US, UK, Kenya, India, Thailand and Malaysia, and was filmed over a 3 month period. Kooman has since worked on short films, music videos, documentaries and features both as an Editor and Director. Matthew is passionate about the art of telling a good story, pursuing remarkable stories and creating well crafted film. His journey as a filmmaker has taken him inside straw huts in rural Kenya, to squatter pipe-villages in Hyderabad, India. With Unveil, Kooman co-executive produced feature length film _E for Everyone: The Mouse and the Elephant (2007). Unveil has also produced This is Inala (2017), _She Has a Name (2016) _A Filmmaker's Search for Revival (2009) and _The Ladder of My Life (2013), a documentary film about the true story of Monybany Minyang Dau, a former child soldier, and his journey back to Sudan.
