Greg Ivan Smith

Actor, Filmmaker, Screenwriter, and Standup Comedian Greg Ivan Smith was born to English immigrants in Bangor, ME. He studied Fine Art at Hartford Art School, University of Hartford, and at Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. He then went on to get his MFA in Acting from American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, CA. Smith is a multiple award-winning filmmaker, whose work has screened at over 75 film festivals worldwide. His short The Back Room won LOGO TV's "The Click List: Best in Short Film," Season 7, as well as Season 8's "Best of the Best: Romance." Smith filmed his upcoming feature directorial debut, the psychological horror film Remission (2022), during the pandemic with his husband, actor Michael Fitzpatrick. Remission was shot all alone in Amsterdam, NY, with just the two of them fulfilling all cast and crew roles by themselves. Smith is an award-winning Standup Comedian based in Los Angeles, CA. Recent comedy shows include the San Diego Comedy Festival, the Portland Maine Comedy Festival, The Comedy Connection in Providence, RI, as well as several appearances in his current hometown at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, CA (including a show with Fred Armisen), The Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, CA, and Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, CA. He appeared in the latimes.com with his performance at the monthly VERDUGO HUUT in La Crescenta, CA.
