Jasmine Elizabeth Bowen was born on September 22, 1987 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was born to teacher Linda Hlaing-Bowen and entrepreneur/writer James Bowen. Jasmine started her acting career performing at age 9. Backed by supportive parents, and a lack of nervousness, she stood out when her school choir was asked to perform with Lenny Graf, international children's performer, and was chosen as his soloist and co-star during the show. Having seen Lenny's show years before as an even younger child, at 9 years old she took the stage beside him as the star "Rainbow Child". After the show, she experienced her first paparazzi mob, to which she responded, "It was REALLY fun!" Ever since then, Jasmine has taken to the performing arts with a keen interest, specializing in theatre Jasmine broke into the film industry at 16, as second-in-commander of the "Pink Chick" gang in the action movie Jamie and Eddie: Souls of Strife. The film recently won awards at the Canadian Black Filmmakers Festival in Toronto, and the Action on Film Fest in Pasadena. At 17, she took her unique looks to the still camera, launching a modeling career in commerical print ads, and appearing at many trade shows. At a young 17, Jasmine moved to Hollywood North, seeking new opportunities. Within a year, she was signed by a top agency, leading her to appear in music videos, such as with The Cliks , and commercials for the Slice Network! as well as a multitude of theatre and modeling projects. She starred in Brett Kelly's "Iron Solider", along side Joe Estevez and Brianna Barnes. She also broke into the Modeling industry, appearing at the Toronto Food and Wine show, as well as beside Donald Trump at his Learning Annex, for Amp Energy, and for Toronto International Film Festival. In theatre, her passion, she has performed at Canada's Wonderland , Nuit Blanche , and the Canadian National Exhibition. In 2009, Jasmine received her BFA in theatre from the University of Toronto, with a specialty in Arts and Culture
