Andrew is originally from the Boston area, where he spent his childhood and a good part of his adult life. Nearing the end of a 3 year stint in the Army, he auditioned for a chorus part in the civil war musical Shenandoah at the Fort Bragg playhouse. It was during this production that he was bitten by the acting bug. While sitting backstage during a performance, waiting for his cue to go on, it was like a lightning bolt strike him in the forehead. Having had this epiphany, Andrew opted to leave the army rather than re-enlist when his term of service was up. He returned to the Boston area where he worked various jobs, including a Shipper/Receiver and a Product Manager for an electronics distributor for several years, all the while moonlighting as an actor in various local and regional theaters. In the late 90's, he auditioned for the Northeast Regional Theatre Conference and was offered a job with Missoula Children's Theatre. Andrew jumped at the chance to tour the U.S.A. and Canada and be paid to do what he loves. After two years with MCT, having performed in and directed dozens of productions, Andrew returned to Boston briefly before moving to L.A. in the spring of 2000. Like any recent transplant to L.A. determined to make his mark in Hollywood, Andrew got a job waiting tables. He signed up with Central Casting and got his feet wet in front of the camera doing background work. Soon he was performing on numerous stages in and around L.A. He was nominated for an Irene Ryan Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Dan in Night Must Fall. After working his way up through the ranks in restaurant service, Andrew served as a General Manager for several years until the restaurant he was managing was sold late last year. He has since returned to doing what he loves full time. Andrew has worked on several film projects, in both lead and supporting roles, portraying everything from a nerdy, would-be serial killer to a cold, calculating businessman to a disturbed Vietnam vet. Andrew is also a writer, having written short film scripts, short stories and a Sci-Fi TV pilot.
