Alan Brown is a writer/ director from the UK who has moved to Ireland to film a trilogy of features (and a number of shorts) based on true stories from the famine era (1840/50's). The first 2 are complete, 'The Minnitts of Anabeg' and 'The Cormack Brothers'. The third feature from the trilogy is in pre-production. The short film, 'The Girls in the Window', was filmed from extra scenes form the Cormacks, with a new script written and actors brought back to finish the film. It is a ghost story, a theme that suited the location which is truly haunted. He has written and directed a number of projects in London and is working on a number of scripts that have a more urban, modern feel for filming in London.
