Peter Blankenstein

Actor
Date of birth : 10/29/1955
City of birth : Naarden, Noord-Holland, Netherlands

Best known for being the only actor to appear in all three segments of The Human Centipede trilogy, Dutch actor Peter Blankenstein has made his mark on the horror genre with his strange, sometimes deranged and always enigmatic characters. Before becoming a full-time actor, Peter followed in his father's footsteps and pursued a career as a public school teacher. While at the Hilversum teaching academy in the Netherlands, Peter studied children's musical theatre and became interested in the performing arts. After graduating from the Academy, Peter began his teaching career but continued to pursue his passion for acting. He became a member of the Bussum Youth Theatre Company where he collaborated with other actors to create and perform theatre for children. Peter went on to create his own children's theatre company, Young K&G, where he adapted and directed such famous children's classics as Puss and Boots and The Wizard of Oz. Peter also co-wrote the children's musical The Adventures of Hans Sausage with his wife Deirdra and his father Piet. During this period, Peter joined the K&G Theatre Company and appeared in over twenty productions. Most notably he was cast as "George" in John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men, "Gus" in Harold Pinter's The Dumb Waiter and "Alvaro Mangiacavallo" in Tennessee William's The Rose Tattoo. In 1988, Peter left teaching to begin a career in business but always made time in his schedule for acting. In 2007, at the age of 51, Peter embarked on his third career with the decision to purse acting full-time. He was signed by both Klooster Casting and Kemna Casting in Amsterdam, and quickly received roles in several commercials and made four appearances on the very popular Dutch soap opera Good Times, Bad Times.
