In the last four years the prolific Burdick writing team, Curtis and Scott, have written eleven scripts. All, but one, have been winners, finalists, semi-finalists in various contests. Three screenplays have been optioned in 2008 by The Reserve Entertainment Group. The Burdick's are represented by respected, LA literary agent, Barry Perelman, Barry Perelman Agency. Curt Burdick is a professional writer, creative director, has written and produced countless TV and radio commercials, and co-produced seven client-sponsored TV comedy specials for syndication. He has written screenplays, short stories, TV- series concept proposals, and a recently completed novel, the first in a projected series, Crusader Archers of the Dark Continent, a historical-action-adventure. This novel is being adapted into a screenplay as well. Scott Burdick has also written and published short stories and written and co-wrote numerous scripts. He's attended film school, art school, is an accomplished fine artist and illustrator, and named one of the top ten young artists in the country (see scottburdick.com). He was hired on a freelance basis for story development and conceptual design on the DreamWorks animated feature, Spirit. Scott has traveled to some of the most remote places on earth and documented vanishing cultures in photographs and paintings. Combined credentials include Columbia Film School, Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, DePaul University, American Academy of Art, and AFI screenwriting workshops. A recent comedy script, Rodney & Jerry: Grave Robbers (aka Grave Consequences), was named a winning, Top Ten finalist in the Writers-on-the-Storm Screenwriting Contest, co-sponsored by Creative Screenwriting Magazine and also optioned in September by The Reserve Entertainment Group. In addition to their recently finished eleventh script, SECRETS OF THE LOST PATROL, they are nearing completion on their twelfth script, HELLHOLE, a horror-thriller with 'summer tent-pole' and franchise potential. The Burdick team has also completed treatments for their next projects * planned to be finished in 2009 - an 'Apatow-type' broad comedy, SEVEN MINUTES TO A FIRMER BUTT, a medical-action-adventure-drama, THE WORST PLACE ON EARTH, and an action-thriller, NIGHTMARE SCENARIO. They also have several TV-series concepts in the works, two of which are unique twists on the 'reality' genre and have completed detailed concept proposals and pilot scripts and will be marketed to producers shortly. Curt Burdick has also written two novellas, Sorceress, a supernatural-thriller and Discoveries, an action-adventure- sci-fi-thriller, which will also be adapted as screenplays in 2010.
