Talk to anyone on the Internet about TV and more specifically, reality TV, and chances are Murtz Jaffer's name will come up. The University of Toronto and Centennial journalism grad got his first big break at the tender age of 17. After relentlessly hounding the The Sports Network, Jaffer was given the chance to write articles on professional wrestling for TSN.ca while in high school and was later employed by an American wrestling website as their Canadian correspondent. In 2004, Jaffer launched InsidePulse.com, a site dedicated to the ever-evolving world of entertainment and primarily focused his efforts on the in-depth analysis of both scripted and reality programming. Using a variety of techniques, sources and general impressions, Jaffer made a career out of accurately predicting plot lines of every major program on TV and has interviewed everyone from Donald Trump to the cast of Lost over the years. Described as the world's foremost reality television expert and known for carving out a niche in celebrity journalism on line, Jaffer has also worked at the Toronto Sun and Entertainment Tonight Canada. In 2008, Jaffer won Centennial College's Alumnus of Distinction award becoming one of the youngest winners of the honor. In 2011, Jaffer received the Special Achievement In Reality Reporting award at the Reality Rocks convention in Los Angeles. Jaffer served as the on-air entertainment expert on the Z103.5 FM Morning Show in Toronto and briefly hosted the Reality Check segment on Virgin Radio 99.9 FM. He hosted his own reality show, Reality Obsessed that aired on the TVTropolis network and Global Reality Channel in Canada. The show won a Gemini Award for 'Best Direction In A Reality Series.'
