Benson Riddle wrote and directed his first short film "Delusions" whilst a medical student at Sydney University. The 28-minute thriller was shot and edited on Super 8 film just before digital video and non-linear editing were to become widely accessible. He subsequently went on to make "Noir Drive", a 19-minute film noir thriller shot on Super 16 which premiered in August 2008 at the LA Shortsfest, and went on to win Best Music in a Short Film for composer Geoffrey Russell at the Australian Screen Music Awards. He then went on to make the experimental short "Fate Train" as his AFTRS graduating film. He is currently developing the feature film "Atoll".
