Fred Barton's TV Composer/Arranger/Conductor credits: Nickelodeon's "Eureeka's Castle," "The Magic Schoolbus" (Emmy Award), HBO's "Cathouse: The Musical, "Wonder Pets!" (Emmy Award), "Olivia," Michael Moore's "The Awful Truth," and Tom Eyen's "Women Behind Bars" (Broadway HD, Amazon Prime, theme song and background score.) His symphonic arrangements have been played multiple times at Carnegie Hall (with Fred at the piano) and by major symphonies across the U.S. and Canada. Fred debuted at age 23 as arranger-pianist for "Forbidden Broadway," which ran internationally for 27 years, winning countless Drama Desk Awards and ultimately a Special Tony® Award. He co-created the Drama-Desk-winning "Whoop-Dee-Doo!" in NYC and London, and also arranged and appeared in the Off-Broadway hit revue "Spamilton," supervising its long-run Chicago, LA, London, Pittsburgh, and National Tour productions. At age 24, Fred created his one-man musical theatre piece "Miss Gulch Returns!," still produced by theaters nationwide into 2024, with a hit CD still selling and streaming after 37 years. Broadway/National Tour conducting credits: Anthony Quinn in "Zorba," Hal Prince's "Cabaret" revival, Cy Coleman's "City Of Angels," and Robert Goulet in "Camelot." He produced, arranged, and conducted ten large-scale concerts in his "American Showstoppers" series at the Michael Schimmel Center, featuring major Broadway stars and his 14-piece orchestra, and has played and arranged for dozens of major stars.
