Mehmet Bahadir Er

Born in 2 July 1982 in Turkey. Graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Cinema-Television academy with a bachelor's degree. At the academy he took lessons from Berlin "Golden Bear" awarded director Metin Erksan about cinema theory, from Duygu Sagiroglu about script writing and from Memduh Ün about movie production. His movies got important awards from events like Antalya the Golden Orange Festival, Adana The Golden Boll Festival, Ankara Film Festival, Ifsak, Istanbul Independent Movies Festival, International Bosphorus Film Festival and Sony Entertainment. His films also present international festivals as Rotterdam, Locarno, Warsaw, Moscow, Tallin, Sarajevo, New York, Seattle, Stockholm, Cairo, Carthage... Co-directed his debut movie Kara Kopekler Havlarken (Black Dogs Barking - 2009) together with Maryna Er Gorbach. They continued co-directing movies ever since. Mehmet Bahadir Er is (EFA) European Film Academy member since 2017.
