Shameer Birges

Born in Paddington, Sydney Australia, Shameer Birges spent his early childhood years residing in the famous beachside suburb of Bondi, attending Bondi Beach Public School. He later lived with his paternal grandparents, Julia and József, near Sydney's Northern Beaches and graduated from Davidson High School. Shameer initially became an auto mechanic after high school, having little interest in the performing arts. However, in his early twenties, after some time in Europe and after the death of József, who had been a performer in his native Hungary, Shameer developed a keen interest in acting. Having studied acting at the Actor's Centre Australia and completing a Bachelor of Stage and Screen Acting at the University of New England, Shameer has appeared in a number of Australian and US productions, including: Dead Lucky (2018), Preacher (2019), Hyde and Seek (2016), Reckoning (2020), The Commons (2019) and The Gloaming (2020).
