Melissa Bostaph

Melissa was born in New York state, but moved to Erie, Pennsylvania, with her mother, at an early age. From childhood, Melissa had a passion for art and nature. After graduating from Harborkcreek High School in 1990 she went on to become mother to six children, during two relatively brief marriages. She worked as a staff writer for DreadCentral which led her to work with the Eerie Horror Film Festival in Erie, Pa. In 20011, after she had done some digital work for him, she was approached by Mark Steensland to audition for the lead role in a short film called The Weeping Woman. This came as a shock to Melissa, as she had never done any type of acting. She passed the audition and was cast as The Weeping Woman, alongside Stephen Geoffreys. Melissa has since had a few small parts in other small films, and graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsyvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Illustration in 2017. She is now a freelance illustrator/artist.
