J'Nara Corbin is a New York City-based actress and writer. She studied Cinematography while attending New York University and caught the "acting bug" while starring in a number of classmates' short films. Her familiarity with the behind-the-scenes aspect of filmmaking, along with her naturally charismatic personality, has assisted with a smooth and seamless transition into on-camera hosting. In addition to being a leading actress in a handful of independent films, J'Nara has also had some noted success as a model. One of Oprah Winfrey's "favorite things" appearing in over 15 issues of O Magazine, her ever-growing body of work consists of National Health and Beauty Campaigns including an Olay Skin Care Products Beauty endorsement, Fashion advertisement for Saks Fifth Avenue, and a Sally Hansen Cosmetics television commercial. In the world of journalism, J'Nara is a freelance op-ed writer/celebrity interviewer. A great deal of her written and on-camera work can be found on BET.com, including one-on-one interviews with Kerry Washington, Paula Patton, Anna Faris, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell, as well as interviews with Oscar Nominees Will Smith, Bradley Cooper, Viola Davis, Queen Latifah, and Oscar Winner Denzel Washington. She has also shared her views while joining a panel discussion for The Weinstein Company in their promotion of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, and has put her improv skills to use covering Fox Searchlight's premiere of Black Nativity, while streaming live from the red carpet. Rounding out her list of talents, J'Nara is also a radio personality with over two years of experience co-hosting Clay Cane Live, a political/pop culture driven weekly call-in show on WWRL 1600AM, New York's #1 talk radio station, which also aired the nationally syndicated Ed Schultz and Rev. Al Sharpton shows. Clay Cane Live has been featured by Jet Magazine, The Advocate, GLAAD and MSNBC's theGrio.com.
