Jonathan L. Bowens interest in film led him to start a review site in high school, where he posted more than 600 movie reviews continuing into college. After graduating Oregon State University with a degree in philosophy, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film. Starting with independent music videos, Bowen learned the skills he needed as a filmmaker and established a production company, JLB Media Productions, that specializes in business-to-business marketing and Web videos. His music video and short film work has been selected to 41 film festivals nationwide and each submitted project won its category in at least one festival, including "The Devils Matchmaker," a short film that won Best Short Short Comedy / Romance at the Eugene International Film Festival. He wrote and directed Amy Alyson Fans, a feature-length romantic comedy starring Brendan Bradley, Cooper Harris, Josh Sussman, Lochlyn Munro, and Jason-Shane Scott.
