Massimilian Breeder was born in Genova on June 13, 1978. He is the writer and director of Reservoir (2013), co-director Devil Come to Hell and Stay Where You Belong (2008), and writer and director of The Lunatic Express (2021). He lives and works in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also known for series of art projects for the Centre Pompidou and other international art centers: "The Car Crashes" (2014) with Nina Breeder, "Narita" (2015) with Nina Breeder, and Amidgalae (2004-2006) the first model of interaction between Cinema and Neuroscience presented at the prestigious Hôpital de la Salpêtrière in Paris, in which he implemented the use of biofeedback technology to modulate and change the course of the narrative structure of a film, directly influenced by emotional responses.
