Born on August 22 in DownersGrove, IL, Tracy Willet knew she had to perform when she saw a production of 42nd Street at a local theatre. For most of her childhood/teenage years, Willet was a competitive baton twirler, ranking 9th in the nation in 1997. She also competed in figure skating for 14 years, helping to create the first Synchronized Skating Team--then named "Illini Edge"--at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. After graduating with Bronze Tablet honors (B.S. in Advertising) from U of I, Willet moved to New York to pursue a career in performance art. She attended Circle in the Square Theater School, where she studied Musical Theatre/Acting. Willet recently appeared as Joanne in "Everything's Whispered," part of the 2013 Women Center Stage Festival at The Culture Project. Willet was a mentor for WET Productions' "Risk Takers" series, where she worked with teenage girls to promote self-esteem and teach media literacy. She also works as an advocate/lobbyist for the National Eating Disorders Association.
