Nic Penrake

Nic's many years in advertising as a copywriter have perhaps inevitably led to a fixation on this thing we fondly call 'the concept'. During two decades of bashing out ad concepts and long copy, Nic has been writing, producing and directing short films. He's also produced and directed a play, Virtually in Love, at The White Bear in London. To date, Nic has several feature film projects in development at UK company Film Engine. Now with management in the USA, he is devoting more time and energy to developing those of his screenplays set in North America, while working with his editor/director daughter Shiona and actor son Jay on new short film projects, and managing his songwriter/performer daughter Saina.
