Born in Atlanta and raised in a small coastal town outside of Boston, Shea was interested in the performing arts at a very early age. She began acting in community theatre as a child, and later attended The Walnut Hill School for the Arts to study musical theatre. She pursued acting for TV/Film and screenwriting at Emerson College in Boston, and spent a year in Los Angeles gaining additional hands-on industry experience. To build her resume and continue her education, Shea moved to New York City and worked in dozens of commercials and independent films. She recently returned to her roots in Atlanta to pursue her acting career here in "The Hollywood of the South", and this year won "Best Performance in a Drama" at the People's Film Festival London for her standout role as 'Ma' in the short film "Baby".
