Nari trained at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has appeared on stage opposite James McAvoy in Cyrano De Bergerac for the Jamie Lloyd Company. Nari was also the assistant director of Cyrano for its sold out run in London, Glasgow and at Brooklyn Academy of Music in NYC, where it was the NY Times Critics pick. He was awarded best supporting male actor at the Black British Theatre Awards for this role. Raised in London by a Jamaican mother and Indian father, his full name Narinder means "King". He has three artistic brothers: film director Rohan Blair-Mangat based in LA, actor-writer Arun Blair-Mangat based in LA and film director Omar Blair-Mangat based in London. He received an Ian Charleson commendation for his role of Caithness in Macbeth, opposite Kenneth Branagh, at the Manchester International Festival, before transferring to NYC's Park Ave Armory to critical acclaim. Nari was in the original National Theatre and West End cast of the smash hit show People, Places and Things directed by Jeremy Herrin, starring opposite Denise Gough. Nari has played the lead role in Shakespeare's Othello several times and he is always seeking complex and charismatic roles that require a committed, passionate performance.
