Clayton Pelham, Jr. was born and raised in Southeast, Washington, D.C until the age of 5 where he moved ten minutes away into Suitland, MD in Prince Georges County. In 2004,Clayton was accepted into the Visual and Performing Arts program (VPA)at Suitland High School where he studied Theatre and Acting. While attending high school, Clayton was introduced to The Studio Theatre conservatory located in the Arts District of Northwest, Washington D.C. The Studio Theatre played a major role in his development as an artist. He continued to study there even while attending college at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). Although, he considered training at the Studio one of the best experiences in his acting career, the program did not offer a degree and two years into his training at UDC Clayton dropped out. Later that summer, Clayton moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his older cousin to pursue a career in acting. Unsatisfied by the hype of what was known as the "Black Hollywood" Clayton began to look for colleges that offered a degree with a conservatory training and was introduced to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA)in Los Angeles, where he will receive his Bachelors in Fine Arts (BFA)degree in Acting.
