Carlos was first introduced to rock climbing in the hillsides of Rainbow, CA at just 4 years old. While growing up in La Jolla, CA with a family of creative professionals, climbing and photography became preeminent life guiding inspirations for friendship, creative pursuit, and travel. With family ties to the climbing community originating from Camp 4 in 1970's Yosemite, he has a deep appreciation for the culture and adventure of outdoor mountain sports. Carlos started filmmaking in the early 2000's, making climbing videos with close friends Chris Lindner, Paul Dusatko, and other prominent climbing filmmakers in Southern California. In these years of creative exploration, bouldering in the Eastern Sierras and British Columbia, and sport climbing around Nevada and Utah defined his passion for adventure driven visual storytelling. Between 2007-2014, Carlos worked as a freelance photo and video producer on local and regional Southern California commercial broadcast campaigns, music videos, and corporate industrial productions. In 2015 Carlos founded Frosting, a Los Angeles based stills and motion picture production company. Today he works as a producer and cinematographer focused on nationally branded commercial content and narrative film.
