Amy Reedy Asbjørnsen

Amy Reedy Asbjørnsen is a writer-director with her MFA from USC (Film/TV Prod.). She's most known for writing for James Franco's feature "Don Quixote" (Netflix), for being an Academy Nicholl Semifinalist, and for having a Black List "Trending Script." Her scripts have additionally placed in WeScreenplay (Finalist), Austin Film Festival, PAGE Awards, ScreenCraft, ISA Table Read My Screenplay (Austin), The Red List, The Script Lab, and a Stowe Story Labs alum (with scholarship). Amy wrote-directed viral LGBTQ film "Truth or Drink" (2.7Million+ views), festival film "Girl in her Twenties" (Distribution: ShortsTV, IndieFlix, BitPix; Festivals: HollyShorts, Carmel, Cannes Court Métrage, Female Eye - Nom. Best Student Film), and brand content for AT&T, Shakey's Pizza, TikTok, and YouTube. Her films have sparked viral fan videos, won awards, screened at Mischa Barton's art show, and been reviewed by the Hollywood Reporter. Before film, Amy's social research on gender and sexuality at Colorado College was awarded by the International Sociological Honor Society. At Cambridge University, she studied deviant sexual behavior, and as a legal assistant, she worked with serial killers on death row. Amy's artistic voice focuses on the complexities of relationships and sexuality, often delving into the dark side of human behavior, and always playing with gender.
