Hailing from the east coast of the United States, Alethea Cho attended The University of the Arts where she received a BFA in film and digital media. Alethea started her glorious film career in the sound department working on the feature film God's Country, Off Route 9. Just like almost every other film-school graduate, Alethea originally wanted to be a director and direct her own short films. But after spending some time in the industry, she realized the thing she loved most about filmmaking was the storytelling aspect and quickly shifted her focus to writing. Since her graduation in 2010, Alethea has spent most of her time traveling around the globe, working on a variety of creative projects, and recently found her way back to screenwriting. Collaborating with director/producer, James Cullen Bressack, Alethea co-wrote the up-and-coming neo-noir flick Darkness of Man, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. A huge horror buff heavily influenced by directors like Park Chan-wook and a die-hard Stephen King fan, Alethea plans to one day unleash monsters of her own creation into the world one day. (On screen at least...)
