Eric D. Johnson is an American composer and singer-songwriter. He is best known as the front man and sole permanent member of the long-running and influential folk-rock band Fruit Bats, and for his work as a multi-instrumentalist with The Shins, Califone and Vetiver. Johnson began his scoring career with the 2011 film "Ceremony," which was followed that year by "Our Idiot Brother" starring Paul Rudd. On the latter film, he served as the soundtrack's co-producer, writing, producing and performing several original songs in addition to score. A Chicago native, Johnson lives in Los Angeles with his wife.
