Karin Zielinski

Karin Zielinski is a Peruvian film composer, producer and songwriter. Master in Film Scoring and Music for Audiovisual Media at the Superior Music School of Cataluña (ESMUC), in Barcelona, Spain. Graduated from University of Lima in 2007 with a major on Communications, in Lima, Perú. She is known for the original score of the Peruvian film ''El Limpiador'' (2012, Dir. by Adrian Saba), for which she won Best Original Score in the International Film Festival of Punta del Este 2013 and received her first nomination for Best Original Score in the First Edition of the Platinum Awards for Ibero-American Cinema (Premios Platino 2014). Karin has composed, in many cases orchestrated, and produced original music for over 40 films of diverse genre, including featured and short films, as well as documentaries. Her work includes several nominations and awards in different International Film Festivals like more recently Best Original Score in The Boston Sci Fi Film Festival (2022) and won Best Original Score Of The Month in The Monthly Film Festival (TMFF) in 2018. Since 2011 Zielinski has been working with her partner Raúl Astete on their own Post Production and Music Studio Steremonkey, composing and producing several projects that includes Films, Radio, Web and Television.
