Lauren's story is one of transformation. Born in Kansas City, Missouri she showed an interest in the arts from an early age. She was a published poet by the age of ten and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City's summer play writing course on scholarship when she was fourteen. She later studied Classical Music Composition and Piano at the University. After college her career goals went in a completely different direction. She moved to San Diego in 1998 and ran a successful photography and graphic design firm for ten years. In 2011 Lauren began a transformation which can only be described as life-altering losing 70lbs over the course of a year and finding the courage and confidence to begin her life over as an actress, voice over artist, and stand-up comic. Lauren spent four years doing stand-up comedy before moving to Los Angeles where she switched over to Improv ultimately graduating from The Second City Hollywood. "Stand-up has been amazing for me. It gave me the courage and toughness to handle anything, and the agility to be prepared for it." ~Lauren Holiday
