Virginia Lawton grew up in Brisbane and the Gold Coast Queensland Australia. Her innate ability to act became apparent at an early age. She first appeared on television as a child personality aged approximately 9 years of age. This was a Brisbane Reg Grundy guessing game program. She was part of a panel of three children. The three marching girls were pretending to be a certain individual. The audience was to guess the facts from the fiction. In the 1970s Virginia was one of four finalists in a budding young actress opportunity competition for Crawford Productions and TV times. She then went on to train as an actress with Twelfth Night Theatre and Ron Finney Television and Movie School in Brisbane. She later moved and spent one year living and working in Melbourne and then returned to Queensland and then settled in Sydney from many years. Because her family all lived in Queensland she traveled on a regular basis from Sydney back to Queensland for short stays. After many years of constant travel and working between states she has now again settled on the Gold Coast Queensland.
