Crystal Diaz

Born and raised in New York City, Crystal grew up in the "projects" in Harlem. She began modeling and acting at the age of 3 when her mother took her to an open call for agency representation. Crystal has acted in theater productions in NYC, London, Chicago and Los Angeles. She is a member of Theatre of NOTE in Hollywood, where she served on the Artistic & Management committee in 2012-13. She is won of a Theatre of NOTE Golden Betty (2012) and was nominated for Best Lead Actress in the 2013 Broadway World LA Awards for her role as Maggie in "Hot Cat" and for Best Ensemble in the 2012 NAACP Theatre Awards for "Shoe Story" at Theatre of NOTE. Crystal started ballet lessons at 8 years old and has about 15 years of training and performance experience in Ballet, Flamenco, Modern, Salsa, Hip Hop, Spanish and African Dance. She attended LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, the "Fame School," where she majored in Visual Art. Crystal then attended Barnard College, Columbia University, where she received a B.A., cum laude, for Psychology and Dance. Crystal is the youngest of 3 children and is half Puerto Rican and half Chinese. She currently lives in Los Angeles with actor Alexis DeLaRosa and Ziggy, their black lab mix rescue dog (2014).
