Moises Jimenez leaped from the backyard Chicano punk rock scene of South Central Los Angeles into the creative melting pot found thriving at Calarts. He earned his BFA and MFA in experimental animation, pushing creative boundaries under the mentor-ship of animation greats such as Igor Kovalyov, Suzan Pitt, and Maureen Selwood. He got his start scanning and loading film recorders for 70mm IMAX films such as "The Dark Knight", "Speed Racer" and "Kung Fu Panda" gradually working his way up to directing. In due course animating, designing, compositing and directing content for animation legend Ralph Bakshi, Comedy Central's "Trip Tank", Netflix's "Bojack Horseman", Warner Brothers' "5th Quarter Club", Animated Mark Mothersbaugh's segments for Season 3 of "Yo Gabba Gabba", and recently directed 5 radically diverse segments for MTV's "Greatest Party Stories Ever" which earned him a 2016 Annie Award nomination for his "God at Coachella" short. His personal films have screened at various Animation Festivals including the International Trickfilm festival (Germany 2008), Animayo (Spain 2012), Cinetoro (Colombia 2011), PACT Zollverein (Germany 2011), UTS (Australia 2009), New Zealand Film Festival (New Zealand 2009), Australian International Animation Festival (Australia 2009), London International Animation Festival (England, 2009), The Druid Underground film festival (2008-2018).
