Alkis Tzortzoglou was born and raised in Athens, Greece. His father, Stratos Tzortzoglou is an actor and his mother, Maria Georgiadou is a screenwriter, author, and actress. Watching his parents work made an impact as he started having an interest in the art of film and television. Alkis made his first acting debut in 2009's hit TV show "Lola (2008)," while also making his first film debut that same year in Angelos Spartalis' indie film, "Wishes (2009)." He also went on to play a significant role in another TV show "Vals me 12 Theous (2012)," acting in more than 50 episodes. At the age of 17, Alkis and his father moved permanently to New York. There he performed alongside his father in a theatre production called "The Shout" in Astoria, Queens. In 2019 at the age of 21, he made his directorial debut with his short film "101 Knocks (2019)" which has won him awards in festivals such as the Independent Short Awards. In 2020, he graduated from The City College of New York, majoring in Film and Video Production. Currently, he is working on numerous projects/short films such as "The Summerhouse" and "Dear Chloe", while also freelancing by filming and editing weddings, baptisms, commercials, interviews, podcasts, events, acting reels, and much more.
