Jenny Owen Youngs

Singer/songwriter Jenny Owen Youngs was born on November 22, 1981 in Montclair, New Jersey. Youngs grew up in the woods of Northern New Jersey. Jenny played the flute in elementary school and the tuba in junior high school. She began playing the guitar at age fourteen. Jenny attended the music program at the State University of New York in Purchase, where she earned a degree in studio composition. Youngs recorded and released her debut album "Batten the Hatches" in 2005. Her sophomore album "Transmitter Failure" followed in 2009. Jenny's songs have been featured on episodes of various television shows as well as in Victoria's Secret stores all over the world. Youngs has toured extensively in America, the United Kingdom, and mainland Europe. Her third album "An Unwavering Band of Light" was issued in 2012. She lives in Brooklyn, New York City.
