Rachel McKay Steele has studied improv and sketch at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and clown and acting with Completely Ridiculous Productions. Her solo show, Shiva for Anne Frank, premiered at the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival to rave reviews and won a Producer's Encore Award. She received the inaugural Jewish Writers' Initiative Grant for her feature script Adult Bat Mitzvah which was then a finalist for the 2022 Athena Film Festival's prestigious Athena List. In addition, she was a Just For Laugh's 2021 Stand up and Pitch competition finalist. Most recently, she made her Sundance acting premiere in the comedic, short film Headdress. She produces and co-hosts a monthly comedy show, Mishegas, at the Silverlake Independent JCC. Rachel lives in LA with her two cats, Roxy and Esther.
